Movement Life Drawing with Aida
Posing live for us we will have professional dancer, Aida, who will be clothed. She will be doing dancing traditional to her fishing village in Senegal.
Yorkshire Sculpture Park Art Session for Children and Young People
This workshop is inspired by the amazing Yorkshire Sculpture Park which contains sculptures by artists all over the world! We will tell stories about these artists that you may not have heard before and invite you to create your own sculptures using Papier-mâché.
Life Drawing class with Circus Performer
7–10PM
Posing live for us we will have circus and dance performer Alice Davies, currently studying for her Bachelor of Arts in Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg, Netherlands, who will be clothed.
In between the performance, Alice will stop for 1 to 5 minute poses for us to draw. We will also experiment with drawing her going between two poses for 5 minutes.
Play Well Art Workshop for Children and Young People
11.00 AM – 12.00 PM
This workshop is inspired by the 2019 exhibition ‘Play Well’ at the Welcome collection which showcased many different toys and ways of playing.
We will get inspired by toys throughout history, historical playgrounds, and artwork inspired by play. You will learn things that not many people know about the toys you love and have the opportunity to challenge stereotypes by creating your own stories for them!
Drummer Life Drawing by Art in the Park
7–8.30PM
Posing live for this event there will be professional drummer, Penny Elkins, who will be clothed.
In between the performance, Penny will stop for 1 to 5 minute poses for us to draw. We will also experiment with drawing her going between two poses for 5 minutes.
